- Chapters begin with an excerpt and key image from the literature text that will be studied at the end of the chapter. These excerpts link to the chapter topic and encourage students to start thinking about the chapter topic and the literature piece in a creative way. This integration of the literature is a JCT-recommended approach
- Chapters are broken down into easy to navigate spreads based on the key areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Grammar lessons appear in context in each chapter and in an easy-to-understand Treoir Ghramadaí at the back of the book
- Listening comprehensions using all three dialects appear throughout the textbook.
- Creative pair- and group-work activities encourage students to talk to each other in Irish and to develop their communication skills.
- Exam focussed literature spreads allow students to study all their required literature pieces, including new pieces from the updated prescribed list.
- Súil Siar spreads at the end of each chapter allow students to revise what they have learned by completing a range of vocabulary and grammar exercises.
