Ireland’s favourite maths series has been revised for the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum!

New Wave Mental Maths is designed to:

• encourage and develop mental calculation concepts and skills;
• constantly revise the different strands and strand units;
• develop and reinforce problem-solving strategies;
• develop and maintain speed of recall; and
• practise, consolidate, and reinforce mathematical vocabulary and language.

About the 3rd Class book

In the 3rd Class book, the number of questions per column increases from the 2nd Class book, reflecting the expected advancement of mathematical confidence and abilities in pupils. The difficulty of question formats increases, with more complex topics such as multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals introduced through the ‘Monday Focus’.
